I'm in the process of consolidating my shared/VPS accounts to dedicated server I just got from 10TB.com. Because of my research on WHT, I decided to get an offsite backup. I ended up choosing Rsynch Palace based primarily on pre-sales conversations and the west coast location of the backup server.

Since I am new to a dedicated server, I was not 100% comfortable setting up the backup myself. So, it was important to me that the backup host be very customer service oriented. Basically, I wanted to make sure they would hold my hand through the process.

Otto at Rsync Palace was the only one who responded that they would provide the setup for my dedicated server. One company responded back with a link to the backup page on their site. Another company said they do not do setups, but they could help via the ticket system and links with instructions. I understand the backup process is probably an easy one, but Otto's offer for the setup pretty much sealed the deal for me.

I signed up for the service on Feb 11 and later that day, my server was backed up to Rsyncpalace's LAX servers. Otto even set up the second hard drive on my server to backup as well in order to not conflict with Rsynchpalace's backup. He explained everything via ticket/email along the way.

In short, I am very pleased with the initial setup process. I like the level of customer service from Rsynch Palace. I really like that Otto is able to explain everything to me like I am 3rd grader, lol. I am still learning, so I do appreciate the patience. Great service at a great price. Thanks. I'll update this review in a few months.

I just wanted to give a short review on http://Rsyncpalace.com...
I recently resigned up with them again due to some issue I had last time using their services. They were originally a reseller of Bqbackup.com and i'm sure if you search WHT you will see the issue people were having with them a few months ago. I constantly had issues with server network being disconnected and disk error (I think once). The disconnection error was a weekly occurrence and I couldn't afford for a possible backup to be corrupted. They have since moved away from bqbackup and started renting out servers out of 3 other locations. I currently have rented space out of Rsyncpalace WEBNX datacenter and webnx is a pretty high quality provider.
I decided to give them a try again. Otto even offered me to try their service again for free but I of course did the right thing and paid. The service has been extremely steady with no interruptions or diskspace errors. The server load is also really low even when transferring large files but I did have one issue. I was having issues rsyncing data over to there server. We troubleshot the issue for at least 3 days or so. The replies to my tickets were usually 30 minutes to an hour but I did have to wait a while once to get a reply time.
I did have an issue with how long this reply took as backups are extremely critical for me and I wouldn't want to be in a situation where I need a response at an odd time.
Let me get back to the issue with transferring large data. I am a pretty experienced server admin and to be honest I was stumped. I was backing up VPS Containers and some of my clients were using ConfigServer Firewall. The rsync feature would not transfer the data to the backup server because it was turned on. Once I got that figured out it of course wouldn't be efficient for me to manually go in and disable my clients firewall each time. Otto created me a custom bash script to manually do this for me. He never needed to do this for me but wanted to make sure he would satisfy his client.
My overall impression for anyone considering Rsyncpalace.com is to give them a shot. Otto does a great job and will work extremely hard to satisfy his clients!
